Trail races often take place in parks, forests, equestrian centers, and recreation areas that may be pet friendly outside of race day. That does not always mean dogs are allowed on the marked race route, at aid stations, or in a timed wave. This page keeps dog-friendly trail races tied to source text that says dogs can participate in the event itself.
A strong listing might come from a registration page, FAQ, rules page, organizer announcement, or official event description. The useful language is direct: dogs are allowed on the course, the race is dog-friendly, a canine division exists, or handlers can run or walk with dogs under stated rules.
Planning a dog-friendly trail start
Treat each listing as the start of planning. Open the source and confirm distance, surface, passing room, leash length, heat management, water access, and whether dogs can enter every distance.
